Area Historical Society representatives were invited to a social event held in April 2010 at the Monadnock Fine Art Gallery in Keene NH. This charming gathering was organized to make groups and individuals aware of the financial need of the Wyman Tavern, a uniquely historic structure owned and operated by the Historical Society of Cheshire County. The theme of their fund raising efforts is called The Tavern Keeper Program.
A large gathering was treated to a power point presentation and annotations of the efforts, history and other points in connection with this wonderful place. A tasteful array of wine and other refreshments delighted all.
Representatives from the Fitzwilliam Historical Society were Terri Sillanpaa, president, and Eileen McHugh, director.
