May Ball

May Day, a ball took place at the Fitzwilliam Town Hall. It was a happy, Monday evening. The music playing that night was performed by The Heagney Wallace Singing Orchestra of Worcester, Massachusetts. Everyone who arrived was offered a dance card, one of which survives here at our museum in Fitzwilliam. It is a lovely and simple reminder of a pleasant and unhurried time, almost 100 years ago.
