These sheep are an example of the popular sheep industry. This picture was taken about 1895 and is thought to be Liberty Jewell of Jaffrey, NH. He may have rented land in Fitzwilliam for his sheep.
The Blodgett Family had a bowling alley on Rt 12 during the 1950’s. It was immensely popular, judging from the happy faces of the young people shown here.
Mr. Whitcomb kept his cows in a field in the Depot area of town.
