TAPS - GHOST HUNTERS
Visit to the Amos J. Blake House

Left to right: Jason Hawes (TAPS Investigator), Jackson Stone and Grant Wilson (TAPS Investigator). July 2009.
The Amos J. Blake House Museum joined a long string of prominent, high-status, public locations to be presented on national TV when the Ghost Hunters crew, otherwise known as TAPS, investigated our location for the possible presence of ghostly activity. For those who watched it, first broadcast in October 2009, you know unusual things happened during the evening to indicate potential paranormal activity within the building. Other prestigious sites for the TAPS team have included but are not limited to; The Jenny Lind House in Gettysburg, The Betsy Ross House, the Cashtown Inn, the USS Salem of Quincy MA who are very welcoming of investigative teams, Fort Henry, the Buffalo Bill Cody home, Mark Twain House, Waverly Sanatorium, and many, many others. In addition, homes of prominence continue to be added to this exclusive list.
The cast and crew of this highly respected TV show conducted themselves with utmost professionalism and respect for the museum and its collections. They also showed tremendous respect and politeness for the people and the town. Their love and appreciation for history was apparent. Plus, they’re just very nice people.
Thank you, TAPS, for the honor and we welcome you back for a visit any time.
